Hello, I’m Chilu – an emerging artist based in Sydney, on Cammeraygal Country. I have always followed a creative path… Visual Arts was my strongest subject at school, I hold a Bachelor of Creative Arts/Law and have worked as a web designer, graphic designer and illustrator. I also founded my own boutique bakery, Miss Lulu’s Dessert Parlour.
Following a lifelong dream, in 2022 I started painting and entered my first art prize. Becoming a finalist was so motivating and I have since won several accolades and held my first solo show – My Mind’s Eye – at Satch & Co Gallery in Holbrook.
Driven by emotion and always searching for silver linings, I have managed to build an art practice around family life. My goal is to allow my work to tell stories that reflect my personal experiences and to make an authentic connection with art lovers.
